Sarah Nightingale
Sarah is a registered Educational & Developmental Psychologist and Arts Therapist who brings a calm, creative, and genuinely child-centred approach to supporting tamariki, rangatahi and their whānau.
With more than a decade of experience across Aotearoa and the UK, she combines the systemic lens of educational psychology with the expressive, relational depth of arts therapy to help young people make sense of their experiences in ways that feel safe, engaging and achievable.
She has worked across schools, special education, mental health services and youth behavioural services, giving her a broad understanding of the challenges that children and families face and what actually helps.
Sarah is trained in EMDR and Sandtray Therapy and uses these approaches to reduce the impact of trauma and strengthen emotional resilience.
Her therapeutic style is grounded, child-centred and strengths-based.
Whether through play, creative materials, art-making or the sand-tray, Sarah knows how to build connection, validate strengths and create meaningful change for the children and families she supports.
