Judi Barnao
Judi is a passionate psychologist, programme facilitator, systemic and mindfulness practitioner, registered with the NZ Psychologists Board. She has experience providing support in the education, disability and mental health sectors.
Judi has excellent understanding of child development and extensive experience working with children, teens and their families. As a mother of four, Judi has a good understanding of the challenges families face and a passion for working with families to support positive change.
Judi’s areas of interest and specialisation include:
• Developmental, behavioural and emotional concerns
• Anxiety
• Trauma
• Disordered eating/body image
• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) related issues.
Judi uses child-centered approaches including, solution-focused, narrative, motivational interviewing, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), functional analysis, mindfulness, and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) in her work.
