
Kat Cannan
Kat is a Clinical Psychologist who supports tamariki (children), rangatahi (young people) and their whanau (families/caregivers) with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Kat has a special interest in working with children who struggle with issues such as anxiety, trauma, and adjustment difficulties.
She is also able to provide cognitive assessments.
Kat seeks to equip children and their families with education and skills to support better coping and improved well-being.
Kat utilises approaches such as ACT, compassion therapy, and play-based
therapies to engage children and young people.
She has experience with a range of clients from early childhood to adulthood. She is committed to engaging with clients in an age-appropriate, validating and respectful manner, inclusive of culture and
ability.
